Kyle D. Venema - Founder
Kyle Venema started out as a boots on the ground Field Landman running title and negotiating leases in the Barnett Shale near the Fort Worth/Dallas area, the Haynesville Shale in southwestern Louisiana and East Texas, and the Eagle Ford Shale throughout various cities in southern Texas.
He quickly learned how to untangle complicated chains of title, create identifiable and accurate ownership reports, and found himself a natural at communicating and gaining trust with land and mineral owners. With a profound amount of field experience underneath him, Kyle was awarded two more successful opportunities to work as an in-house Landman with major E&P companies as a Senior Landman.
Even while working as a Field Landman and then as an in-house senior level Landman, he kept true to his beliefs advocating for the land and mineral owners giving them the tools to negotiate for better, and more mineral owner-friendly leases, lease bonuses, and royalty rates. With notches in both field and in-house experience, he made the next step in 2014 to start his own company, Venergy Momentum Oil & Gas, LLC.
Oil & Gas Industry Expert
Having been in the industry for over 15 years and working areas of interest all over the southern US, Kyle has amassed a strong and reputable network of companies and individuals he knows personally that can vouch for his character and quality of work. He is respected for his reputation in the inner circles of the industry because of his honesty, unique ability to strategize, negotiate, and diversity in prospect accumulation.
Kyle has extensive knowledge in oil and gas trends and forecasts having braved the oil and gas market before and during the tumultuous times of 2014, 2016, 2018, and 2020. The industry and everyone involved have been through many KO’s during his tenure and he wants to leave his mark on the industry by improving it for all. In 2020, he founded American Minerals & Royalties, LLC to serve in educating his current and future mineral and royalty clients and new investors.

Kyle is honored to be a local Landman and Mineral and Royalty Consultant. He is also a member of the American Association of Professional Landmen (AAPL) and National Association of Royalty Owners (NARO).
